Dear Andrew,

Hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. How are you, bud? I read it is a cold month in Ireland.  It has been awhile since I last wrote to you. I was missing my pen pal, so I am writing this letter. I have my exams in the next fifteen days so I figured I won’t have time to write then.

 I am completing my 10th class this year. In India, this class is a crucial stage as in the next we have to opt among the different field of Humanities, Sciences and Commerce. I have decided to opt for Humanities. I would read subjects like history, geography, political science, economics and English obviously. My favourite subject is history. I like learning dates and periods and knowing things people don’t know about. History always fascinates me. One reads about the heroic past of our ancestors and the politics of that time. I have read multiple histories of different countries. You learn about different cultures and thoughts of a society of that time. History is something that I have always enjoyed unlike Maths. Maths always was and will be a burden for me. I barely passed the last time and hope for the best this year. Apart from my obsession with history, I like to draw. It has been one of my favourite pastimes since I can remember. I also like to watch T.V. People might think it is a waste of time but I watch serials which gives me knowledge. The recent serial I saw was “The Queen’s Gambit”. I suggest you watch it. I am sure you will like it.
