Magnetic Field due to current in a straight wire?
Magnetic Field due to current in a straight wire at a distance $r$ from a long straight wire carrying current $I$:
$B = \dfrac{\mu_0 I}{2\pi r}$, where $\mu_0 = 4\pi \times 10^{-7},\text{Tm/A}$ is the permeability of free space.
The direction of the field is circular and given by the right-hand thumb rule.
