Mention with reason the colour changes observed when :
(i) silver chloride is exposed to sunlight.
(ii) copper powder is strongly heated in the presence of oxygen.

(i) When silver chloride is exposed to sunlight it changes from White to grey

Reason : Silver chloride decomposes to produce silver and chlorine.

(ii) When the copper powder is strongly heated in the presence of oxygen. it changes from Brown to black

Reason: Copper oxide is produced on heating.

(iii) When a piece of zinc is dropped in a copper sulphate solution. Blue to colourless

Reason: Zinc Sulphate is formed.
