Of the members of three athletic teams in certain school , 21 are on the basket ball term B , 26 on Hockey term H and 29 on the foot ball term F . 14 paly hockey and foot ball 12 play foot ball and basket ball and 8 play all the three games . How many members are three in all .?

Solution:    Given data are as under

                  n(B)=21, n(H)=26, n(F)=29

                n(Hcap B)=14, n(Hcap F)=15, n(Fcap B)=12

                n(Bcap Hcap F)=8

             We have to find the total number of players

         i.e     n(Bcup Hcup F)=n(B)+n(H)+n(F)-n(Bcap H)-n(Hcap F)-n(Fcap B)+n(Bcap Hcap F)

                                                 =(21+26+29)-(14+15+12)+8=43
