The poem "Brook" is written by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. It is a poem which is about Brook or a small stream. It emerges from the top of mountain and flows down the hills and even through the valley and finally they empty into river. The example of river Brook is used to draw parallel with life of a a man. Man also is like a river fast in the beginning and later it becomes slow.

Like a river passes through different landforms, through forests, fields that are field. It passes through the grassy lawns, flower filled gardens, hazel trees, around rocks and even boulders. It doesn't follow a straight path but a curved one. The same happens with the man and the experiences, problems and challenges faced by these people. Here, the poet talks about the eternal nature of Brook that outlives man. Thr river doesn't die while a man does. It continues to flow from its source to the river eternally.
