Our country is faced with many problems and one of the biggest problems is rising prices. It is almost impossible to buy any commodity a few months later at its present price. The most affected persons are the salaried class who get a fixed amount of salary. Their expenditure plan meets a setback when they find that the prices of the commodities are going beyond their budget. The poor class unable to frame the majority of India's population finds it difficult even to meet their basic requirements. Only the traders and the businessmen are able to cope with this problem but middle-class people face difficulties in this problem. There are various factors responsible for the rising prices. The ample production in our country is not sufficient enough to meet the requirements of the growing population. A load of black money in the market is a serious problem in our country. The uneven distribution and improper transportation of the various commodities especially for those products which are perishable and which leads to scarcity. Corruption plays an important role in the rising of prices. As a rule, the demand higher than supply is a tempting criterion for the sellers to increase the prices of the particular commodity. The government should take serious measures to check this problem. Every possible step should be taken to free society and free from corruption.
