Summary of act-2 Scene- 2 from Merchant of Venice

This scene bring us back to a street of Venice. We see Launcelot Gobbo, the clown. He is the servant of Shylock, the greedy Jew. He is tired of Shylock's meanness and miserliness. He has decided to leave Shylock and serve Bassanio. 

Bassanio now enters with some people. Launcelot tells that he wants to serve him. He accepts him as his servant.

Now Grantiano comes in Street. He asks Bassanio to take with him to Belmont. Bassanio agrees but he warns him to have a check on his tongue there. Gratiano promises that he will be serious there.
