The acceleration due to gravity on the surface of moon is 1.7 m s^-2 . What is the time period of a simple pendulum on the surface of the moon, if its period on the Earth is 3.5 s ?

Acceleration due to gravity on the surface of the earth, g=9.8 
The time period of a simple pendulum on earth, T=3.5 s

and T is given as

And keeping l= length of the pendulum=constant

similarly, on the surface of the moon, we have time period as

So the time period of the simple pendulum on the surface of the moon is 8.4 s.
