The density of a cube is measured by mass and length of a side ,if the percentage error in mass is 2 %and percentage error in measuring the side is 3%.calculate the maximum percentage error the measuring density?

Answers (1)

Density= mass / volume

\rho=\frac{m}{l^3}

the maximum percentage error in density

\Delta \frac{\rho}{\rho}=3\times\frac{\Delta l}{l}+\frac{\Delta m}{m}=3\times3+2=11\%
