Mass Weight

The quantity of matter contained in the body is called mass

Weight is the force y which earth attracts a body towards its centre.
Mass is a scalar quantity Weight is a vector quantity

Mass is always constant for a body

Weight of a body varies from place to place

Mass = volume × density

Weight = mass × acceleration due to gravity

The SI unit of mass is Kilogram (Kg).

The SI unit of weight is Newton (N).

Mass can never be zero.

Weight can be zero where there is no gravity (like space).
