The Federal council of Switzerland was founded by the Federal constitution of Switzerland in 1848. This council is the seven members executive council ,which is called Swiss Confederation. The Federal council is the most unique institution in Switzerland because each counselor heads one of the seven federal executive department. The position of the president of Swiss Federation rotates among the seven counsellors on a yearly basis.
