The figure shows the graphical variation of the reactance of a capacitor with frequency of ac source.

(a) Find the capacitance of the capacitor.
(b) An ideal inductor has the same reactance at 100\; Hz frequency as the capacitor has at the same frequency. Find the value of
inductance of the inductor.

C=\frac{1}{2\pi fX_c}

From graph when f=100Hz, Xc=6

C=\frac{1}{2\pi \times100\times6}=0.265\times10^{-3}F

b)

\\X_c=X_L=wL=6\ at \ 100Hz\\2\pi \nu L=6\\L=\frac{6}{2\pi\times100}=0.955\times10^{-2}H
