Given : In a frustum,

l=4 \: cm

2\pi r_1=18 \: cm\; \; -(i)

2\pi r_2=6 \: cm\; \; -(ii)

To find C.S.A :

C.S.A of frustum =\pi l(r_1+r_2)

                            =\pi \times 4 \left ( \frac{18}{2\pi }+\frac{6}{2\pi } \right )   (from (i) and (ii))

                           =\frac{\pi \times 4}{2\pi }(18+6)

                            =2\times 24=48\; cm^2
