Solution:  We have,  

                x^3+ax+1=0hspace0.2cm........(1) and x^4+ax^2+1=0.........(2)

           Now,     Multiplying x in (1)

            x^4+ax^2+x=0hspace0.2cm........(3)

       From (3)-(2) we get    x-1=0Rightarrow x=1
