Tradition is not only related to customs, religions, and beliefs. It is related to how we can think of our society to improve it and how to behave and respect elders. But today we are forgetting our traditions and want to accept modernity. Modernity has become a distraction. Modernity is the way to connect to the new world by rejecting the old. But, In other aspects Modernisation has advantages in our society. Modernity in the 21st century leads to the development of the country. In the past, weaker sections of society are often discriminated but today with the help of modernity they have been given equal rights without any discrimination. In these times we all are getting familiar with the common word ‘fashion’. People all over the world want to adopt fashion to feel fashionable. Modernity led to the development in the field of science and technology. Life without science is almost impossible. Today all people are dependent upon science and technologies for their work. With the modernization people are aware of the social evils like satipratha, the Dowry system that led to the death of thousands of women, discrimination against women, child labor, etc. So there are both positive and negative sides of both tradition and modernity so we should accept the positive ones and leave the rest because both are important.
