Momentum is given as P = m v

So Initial momentum of P=mv

final momentum of P=0

change in the momentum of P=mv

Similarly

The initial momentum of Q=25mv

final momentum of P=0

change in the momentum of P=25mv

Let F= force required to stop them

and F is given as

F=\frac{change \ in \ momentum}{time}=\frac{\Delta P}{t}

Let t is same for both of them

So for P

F_P =\frac{mv}{t}

And for Q

F_Q=\frac{25mv}{t}

So

\frac{F_P}{F_Q}=\frac{1}{25}
