Let p(x)=2x^2-3x-2
p(p)=2.2^2-3.2-2=0
p(x)=8-6-2=0
Hence,x=2 is the root of x^2-3x-2=0
So let's check for the value of x=3,we see-
p(3)=2(3)^2-3(3)-2=18-9-2=7 eq 0
Hence,x=3 is not the root of the equation 2x^2-3x-2=0
