Few adaptations of leaf for photosynthesis are :

1. They have a large surface area to absorb maximum light.

2. Leaves contain green dot pigments called chlorophyll which act as a site for photosynthesis on the chloroplast. 

3. The presence of stomata on the surface of the leaves helps in the gaseous exchange.
