What are the advantages of having very thin and highly branched capillaries for blood flow?

Answers (1)

Capillaries are the extreme ends of both arteries and veins and hence they play a major role in the flow of materials in and out of the blood. Capillaries surround the organs of the body and hence the more the branches are formed, the more is the area covered over the organs and the better is the passage of the material in and out of the blood. Also, capillaries are thin so that the passage of the materials is easier.
