The Verb is a word that expresses an action. For eg: He is Playing, Seema is eating, etc. the Verb must agree with its subject in number and person, In other words, the verb must be of the same numbers and person as the subject. Verbs are of two types: Main Verb and Auxiliary Verb these two types are categorized in their way i.e, Main/Principle is of two types Transitive and Intransitive verbs.

And Auxiliary Verbs are of two types: Helping verbs and Modals.

The verb is rather fully descriptive in a sentence and they characterize the quality but is sometimes nearly avoided when we use an auxiliary or linking verb. The basic form of the verb is also known as its infinitive. The forms call, love, and go are all infinitives. Almost all verbs have two forms called Participle. A participle is a form that creates several verb tenses, those forms that are used to show the action in a sentence. They can also be used as adjectives.

And the other is the Present Participle which always ends at (ing) i.e, Calling, Loving, Eating, Driving, Caring, etc, these are the forms of presenting the verbs in the Present Participle. And the Past Participle which ends with (ed) i.e, Loved, Broken, Gone. But many past participles irregularly end with ‘ed’.

For many verbs however the past tense is irregular, an irregular past tense is not always the same as the irregular past participle i.e, Called, Loved, Broke, Got.
