What is the difference between homophones and homonyms ?i am confused!!!!!!!

Homophones are words that have same sound but different meaning or spellings. E.g. Their-There, New-Knew, Hair-Hare.

Homonyms are words which have same spellings but different meanings. E.g. suit - means a clothing(noun) and suit (verb) to fit .
