The Hockey Game has much importance in India as it is our National sports of India has a bright and deep-rooted history in the field of sports. India has many brilliant players who take forward their country and they have so much respect for their country. India has gained the craze for hockey from its Olympic debut in the 20th century. In 1928 the men’s hockey team made a debut in the hockey championship and then they won 6 gold medals between 1928 to 1956 and five medals in 1950.
Hockey has so much importance in our country. It develops hand-eye coordination, improves the resistance power of their hands, and increases the spontaneous responses and reactions during the game. It also improves agility.
In conclusion, hockey is a national game of India but it is not declared officially yet. But we can make this official by winning Gold medals in the golden period of hockey again. At present, our game of hockey lacks support from our Government but if there was support on his back they can bring the glory days of hockey back. There are various equipment and pads for hockey players while they wear during their match, why do they wear them? because they protect them from any injury.
