WHAT ROLE DOES SPECIFIC HEAT PLAY IN KEEPING A WATERMELON COOL FOR A LONGTIME AFTER REMOVINGIT FROM FRIDGE ON A HOT DAY?

Answers (1)

If the specific heat capacity of a body is greater, then more heat  will be required to raise the temperature of that body. We know that, water has a very high specific heat capacity and  Water melon has a lot of water in it due to which, it has high specific heat capacity and therefore thus does not heat up easily. It stays cool.
