Defect of the eye is known as far-sightedness is Hypermetropia

This defect arise when a person cannot see nearby objects clearly but can see distant objects clearly

Reasons, 

a. The focal length of the eye is too long

b. The eyeball has become too small

This is corrected by using convex lens or converging lens of appropriate power
