Cell Theory is not applicable to the Viruses because it states that all living beings are made of cells. However, viruses are not true cells they are just composed of nucleic acid and proteins. They lack the most important part of the cell that is the protoplasm. Also, they do not use energy nor do they grow without first invading a host cell. Hence, the cell theory is not applicable to viruses.
