Why does February have 28 days?

Due to earth' rotation and revolution around Sun. It takes 365 and 1/4 days to complete one circle around Sun. We take this 365 and 1/4 days as a year. Every year months are divided into days. Each month has 30,31 days. Only the month of February has 28 days. But, in every leap years or every fourth year it has 29 days. Thus, making it 366 days in a year on leap year(that is every fourth year).
