best_answer

Small intestine in herbivores longer than in carnivores because herbivores eat grass which contains cellulose and therefore, digestion of cellulose takes longer time getting digested by the ruminant bacteria that lives in the gut of the herbivore. It also ensures that the food stays in for a longer period of time for proper disgestion. On the other hand, meat is easier to be digested in carnivores.
