Rabindranath Tagore was born on 8th May 1861 in Kolkata. He was a Bengali writer, poet, playwrighter, composer, philosopher, social reformer and painter. He had won Nobel prize in Literature in 1913. He was son of great leader Debendranath Tagore and he was the youngest son. His writings were deeply rooted in both Indian and western learning traditions. His famous writings are Gitanjali, depicted the devotion of God. The postmaster depicted loneliness and the search of meaning to life.
