Centriole is a cylindrical shaped structure/organelle composed of a protein called tubulin. They are mostly found in eukaryotic cells. Centriole is surrounded by a shapeless mass of dense material called pericentriolar material. The pericentriolar material helps in the makeup structure referred to as a chromosome. When two centrioles are found next to each other, they are present at right angles. They are found in pairs and move towards the opposite poles of the nucleus during cell division.
