Indigenous Education is the education that focuses at educating children about their own cultural knowledge. It is the contextual knowledge that children can understand and learn. It means culture appropriate education system that can add value to people's life and teach them skills necessary for living life in their society. 

Two advantages of indigenous  education are-

1. It teaches people to learn culture appropriate knowledge that can help them master skills, jobs appropriate for their livelihood such as agriculture, sewing, fishing etc.

2. Indigenous education will improve the quality of education and ensure children learn and understand what they are learning. It will help them maintain close ties with their heritage and culture.
