As we have learned

Lift is accelerating Upward with acceleration = a -

v=variable,

R-mg=ma

R=m(g+a)

- wherein

Apparent weight > Actual weight

 

 

R - mg = ma 

R = m (g+a)

R = 80 (10+5) 

R = 1200 N 

So apparent weight on the machine will be 1200 N
