For - A

OA_1=r_1= \frac{3R}{8}

For - B

OB_1=r_2= \frac{-R}{2}

 

So using, y_{cm}=\frac{m_{1}y_{1}+m_{2}y_{2}}{m_{1}+m_{2}}

y_{cm}=\frac{m_{1}r_{1}+m_{2}r_{2}}{m_{1}+m_{2}}=\frac{M \times \frac{3R}{8}+M\times \left ( \frac{-R}{2} \right )}{2M}=-\frac{1}{16}R
