Bragg's law -

$2dsin \theta = n \lambda$

where n is an integer. For monochromatic X -rays, $\lambda$ is fixed and there are some specific angles $\theta_{1}, \theta_{2}, \theta_{3}, \ldots$ etc. corresponding to $n=1,2,3, \ldots$ etc. in equation given above. Thus, if the X-rays are incident at one of these angles, they are reflected; otherwise they are absorbed.
