Bragg's law -

                                                                                                2dsin \theta = n \lambda

where n is an integer. For monochromatic X -rays,\lambda is fixed and there are some specific angles \theta_{1}, \theta_{2}, \theta_{3}, \ldots etc. corresponding to n=1,2,3, \ldots etc. in equation given above. Thus, if the X-rays are incident at one of these angles, they are reflected; otherwise they are absorbed.
