Generally the carbohydrates have formula \mathrm{\mathrm{C}_x\left(\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{O}\right)_y}

Hence, Ratio of \mathrm{H} and \mathrm{O} is \mathrm{2: 1}

For example:

Gulcose-\mathrm{ \mathrm{C}_6 \mathrm{H}_{12} \mathrm{O}_6=\mathrm{C}_6\left(\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{O}\right)_6}. Ratio of \mathrm{H} and \mathrm{O} is \mathrm{2: 1}

Ribose- \mathrm{\mathrm{C}_5 \mathrm{H}_{10} \mathrm{O}_5=\mathrm{C}_5\left(\mathrm{H}_2 \mathrm{O}\right)_5}. Ratio of \mathrm{H} and \mathrm{O} is \mathrm{2: 1}

Hence the hydrogen-oxygen ratio in carbohydrates is \mathrm{2: 1}
