As we have learned

Left hand Limit -

The left hand limit of f(x) as  'x'  tends to 'a' exists and  is equal to l2  if as 'x'  approaches 'a'  through values less  than  'a'


\lim_{x\rightarrow a^{-}}f(x)= l_{2}

Where  a-   means ( a - h )

h → 0

 

When x\rightarrow 0^{-}    x\epsilon (-1,0) so [x]= -1 

\therefore  limit  will be -1
