As we have learnt,

Potential Energy Of a System Of n Charge -

U= K\left ( \frac{Q_{1}Q_{2}}{r_{12}} +\frac{Q_{2}Q_{3}}{r_{23}}+\frac{Q_{1}Q_{3}}{r_{13}}\right )

- wherein

For system of 3 charges.

Initial potential energy of q3 \\*U_i = \left(\frac{q_1q_2}{0.8} + \frac{q_2q_3}{1}\right )\times 9\times 10^9

Final potential energy of q3 \\*U_f = \left(\frac{q_1q_2}{0.8} + \frac{q_2q_3}{0.2} \right )\times 9\times 10^9

Change in potential energy = Uf - Ui

Now percentage change in potential energy = \frac{U_f - U_i}{u_i}\times 100 = \frac{q_2q_3\left (\frac{1}{0.2} -1\right )\times 100}{q_3\left (\frac{q_1}{0.8} + \frac{q_2}{1}\right )}

On Putting value \approx - 76\%

Option 1)

Will increase approximately by 76%

Option 2)

Will decrease approximately by 76%

Option 3)

Will remain same

Option 4)

Will increase approximately by 12%
