Octet rule
It states that every atom wants to have 8 electrons in their outermost electron shell.
To find the octet rule, first, you need to draw the structure of compound or molecule. And count the no. of bonds they formed then multiply by 2. Add the no. of electrons of lone pair. If total count is equal to 8, then it follows the octet rule if the number is not eight then it not follows the octet rule
