Which of the following are equal sets?
A={1,2,3,4} and B={natural numbers less than 6}
A={prime numbers less than 6} and B={prime factors of 30}
A={0} and B={x:x>15 and x<5}
A={5} and B={x:}
As we learnt
EQUAL SETS -
Two sets A and B are said to be equal iff they have exactly the same elements and we write A = B. Otherwise, the sets are said to be unequal and we write A ≠ B.
- wherein
eg. A= {3,2,1,4} and B= {2,3,4,1}
Prime factors of 30 are 2,3,5 which are all prime numbers less than 6.
While in (4) which is not same as x=5.
Option 1)
A={1,2,3,4} and B={natural numbers less than 6}
Option 2)
A={prime numbers less than 6} and B={prime factors of 30}
Option 3)
A={0} and B={x:x>15 and x<5}
Option 4)
A={5} and B={x:}
