In an experiment on photoelectric effect, a student plots stopping potential V_{0} against reciprocal of the wavelength \lambda of the incident light for two different metals A and B. These are shown in the figure

.

Looking at the graphs, you can most appropriately say that :

Option: 1

Work function of metal B is greater than that of metal A

Option: 2

For light of certain wavelength falling on both metals, maximum kinetic energy of electric emmited from A will be greater than those emmited from B.

Option: 3

Work function of metal A is greater than that of metal B

Option: 4

Students data is not correct

\begin{aligned} &\frac{h c}{\lambda}-\phi=e V_{0}\\ &V_{0}=\frac{h c}{e \lambda}-\frac{\phi}{e} \end{aligned}

comparing with y=mx+c

we get slope of V_0 \ \ Vs \ \ \frac{1}{\lambda } graph as

m=\frac{hc}{e}

Since h,c,e are constant valule

so slope for both metal A and B should be same.

But in the graph slope of metal A and B are different

So Students data is not correct

So option 4 is correct.
