Number of Element in Union A & B -

 

If (A ∩ B) = φ,then n (A ∪ B) = n (A) + n (B)

- wherein

Given A and B be any finite sets. then Number of Elements in intersection A & B is given by this formula.

 

 n\left ( A\cup B \right )= n\left ( A \right )+n(B)-n(A\cap B)

Since A\cap B= \phi ,\: n\left ( A\cap B \right )= 0

n\left ( A\cup B \right )= 50-70+0=120
