We know, 

for ^n P _r  ; n >= r \ and\ n, r>0

for, f(x)=_{x-3}^{7-x}\textrm{P}

x>3\ and\ x<7

And,

 \\ 7-x > x-3 \\ \implies x<5

\therefore, x= 4\ or\ 5

^3 P _ 1 = 3; ^2 P_2 = 1

Therefore the range of the function is \{1, 3\}
