 ax^ 2+2hxy+ by^ 2+2gx+2fy+ C= 0 \Rightarrow comapre \\with \\ax^2 + by^2 + c(x+y)=0 \Rightarrow a=a,h=0,b=b,f=g=(c/2),C=0

To represents a pair of straight lines it should follow 

abc +2fgh- af^2- bg^2- ch^2= 0 \Rightarrow af^2-bf^2=0 \Rightarrow (a-b=0) or f=(c/2)=0
