As we have learnt,

Equivalent mass -

It is equal to the molecular or atomic mass divided by the number of electrons involved in the reaction per molecule, atom or ion.

- wherein

e.g. 2H_{2}O\:+\:2e^{-}\rightarrow H_{2}\:+\:2OH^{-}

2 Faraday of electricity is used to produce one mole of gas

\therefore    Eq. Mass of hydrogen=\frac{2.016}{2}=1.008

 SO_2 + 2H_2O\rightarrow H_2SO_4 + 2H^+ + 2 e^-

  +4                                +6

change in oxidation mumber of sulphur = 6-4 = 2

Equivalent mass of SO2 = \frac{molecular\;mass}{2} = \frac{64}{2} = 32

Option 1)

Option 2)
