As electrons are subjected to a potential 20 kV,

Kinetic energy acquired by an electron is     K=q \Delta V=e(20\times 10^{3}V)=20\times10^3 eV

Energy of photon of X-ray is 5% of the kinetic energy of an electron  = 0.05 x 20KeV = 1 KeV

\lambda =\frac{E}{hc}=1.24nm
