Speed of electromagnetic radiation and EM radiation -

EM radiation -

According to electromagnetic wave theory, energy is emitted continuously from a source in the form of radiations (or waves), known as electromagnetic radiation.

The relation between frequency, wavelength, and wavenumber:

Frequency ∝ 1/wavelength            wavenumber ∝ 1/wavelength

Radio wave -\mathrm{3\times 10^{14}\ to\ 3 \times 10^{7} A^o}

Microwave - \mathrm{3\times 10^{9}\ to\ 3 \times 10^{6} A^o}

Infrared - \mathrm{6\times 6^{6}\ to\ 7600 \ A^o}

Ultraviolet - \mathrm{3800\ to\ 150\ A^o}

X-rays - \mathrm{150\ to\ 0.1\ A^o}

Gamma rays - \mathrm{0.1\ to\ 0.01 \ A^o}

Speed of electromagnetic radiation -

c= \nu \lambda

where frequency is (\nu,pronounced as nu), wavelength is (λ) and velocity of light is(c).

Speed of light in a vacuum is independent of wavelength. It remains same for the entire colour.

Therefore, Option(4) is correct
