As we hyave learned

Length of sub Tangent -

L_{ST}=\frac{y}{y'}

- wherein

Where \:\:\:y'=\frac{dy}{dx}

 Length of subtangent = y/y'=\frac{x^{2}+1}{2x} =1/2 (x+1/x)

we know (x+1/x) is either \leq -2 .. or .. (x+1/x)\geq 2

\Rightarrow 1/2 (x+1/x) \leq -1 .. or.. 1/2(x+1/x)\geq 1\Rightarrow min 1/2(x+1/x)=1

Option 1)

\frac{1}{4}

Option 2)

\frac{1}{}3

Option 3)

\frac{1}{}9

Option 4)
