The circle \mathrm{x}^ 2+\mathrm{y}^ 2+2 \mathrm{gx}+2 \mathrm{fy}+\mathrm{c}=0 cuts an intercept of length 2 \sqrt{f^{2}-c} on \mathrm{y}-axis. Therefore, the circle   \mathrm{\mathrm{x} ^2+\mathrm{y}^ 2+4 \mathrm{x}-7 \mathrm{y}+12=0}

cuts an intercept of length 2 \sqrt{\frac{49}{4}-12}=1 on y-axis.
