As, gas in suddenly compressed, the process is adiabatic So equation of gas for adiabatic process is: 

\begin{aligned} & \mathrm{PV}^\gamma=\text { constant } \\ & \mathrm{P}_0 V_0^\gamma=\mathrm{P}_2\left(\frac{\mathrm{V}_0}{4}\right)^\gamma \\ & \mathrm{P}_2=\mathrm{P}_0(4)^\gamma \end{aligned}
