Clark's method for softening of hard water -

\mathrm{Ca(HCO_{3})_{2}+Ca(OH)_{2}\rightarrow 2CaCO_{3}+2H_{2}O}
\mathrm{Mg(HCO_{3})_{2}+2Ca(OH)_{2}\rightarrow 2CaCO_{3}+Mg(OH)_{2}+2H_{2}O}

Hence metal salts formed are \mathrm{CaCO_{3}\: \: and\: \: Mg(OH)_{2}}.

Option (B) is correct.
