Let  (h, k) be point of intersection of the tangents 

Then equation of chord of contact is xh + yk = 10

Compare this with x +y =2 

\mathrm{\frac{\mathrm{h}}{1}=\frac{\mathrm{k}}{1}=\frac{10}{2} \Rightarrow \mathrm{h}=5 ; \mathrm{k}=5}
